This QTVR was shot as the clock chimed 2:00 on the city hall clock. in the center of Carleton Place, a small town just outside of Ottawa.
What you see:
Don't let the bright sky fool you, it was -17 degrees Celcius. This is the bridge at the center of town. Initially you are looking at the old city hall and up Bridge Street (the main drag). As you pan right you look down the Mississipi River, which runs through the center of town. The pole conveniently blocked the bright sun and its reflection off the river. Panning further, you look down Bridge Street to one of the residental areas. Panning again you look up the Mississippi to the rapids and the mill.
How it was shot:
This is your basic no-frills panorama. I used a Kodak DC-25 digital camera which produces 493x373 pics. I used a regular photographic tripod, but no special QTVR panhead (I guess I'd better get one one of these days). The pano was produced with QTVR 1.0. I have only worked directly with QTVR a short time and welcome any helpful suggestions other QTVR producers may have.
